Jadi gini, ada cerita yang bikin kita wajib double-take nih. April 2025, seorang staf IT federal bernama Dan Berulis ngelapor ke Congress kalau anggota DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) udah akses dan kemungkinan besar exfiltrate data sensitif dari National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). Tapi yang bikin makin wild, beberapa hari setelah ngelapor, brake mobil Berulis居然切れ — setelah dia kecelakaan kecil deket rumah. The complaint langsung bikin heboh dan anggota Congress minta investigasi.
Nah, April 2026 kemarin, Government Accountability Office (GAO) publish laporan mereka yang titled "National Labor Relations Board Detailees Did Not Access IT Systems Between April 16 and July 25, 2025."
According ke whistleblower complaint Berulis, "DOGE officials required the highest level of access and unrestricted access to internal systems. They were to be given what are referred to as 'tenant owner' level accounts, with essentially unrestricted permission to read, copy, and alter data" — level akses yang bahkan lebih tinggi dari chief information officer agency. NLRB punya akses ke identitas whistleblower, trade secrets, proprietary data, dan berbagai materi investigasi sensitif. Federal Records Act require records dari "systems requiring special accountability for access" kept untuk six years, dan dua sistem yang GAO sebut DOGE akses (Electronic Official Personnel Folders dan Federal Personnel and Payroll System) contains personal information of federal workers. Mysqlah, who deleted the data ini masih mystery.
"I think you could imagine another situation where the footnote is the central theme of the report," kata Don Moynihan, professor public policy di University of Michigan. "The report raises more questions than it resolves." Michael Duff, professor di Saint Louis University School of Law yang dulu kerja di NLRB, bilang dia "aware of no legitimate reason" untuk NLRB delete data DOGE members. "It is irregular and it is almost certainly contrary to practice." Red flag? Beneran no obat sih ini mah.
